A Commitment to Helping Make the World a Better Place

Magellan Financial is deeply committed to making a positive impact, both locally and globally. Our passion for community involvement shines through various hands-on initiatives, demonstrating that meaningful change goes beyond financial contributions. Team members are actively engaged in transformative projects, from helping establish a full-service grocery store to address food deserts to advancing sustainability at Moravian University.

Our approach to engagement is rooted in building long-lasting relationships and creating opportunities for individuals, particularly in underserved areas. The team’s diverse involvement spans numerous fields, including education, wellness, and the arts. For example, one team member actively contributes to The United Way and the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts.

At the same time, another has founded a family-oriented organization promoting youth sports. Their advocacy for the arts, early childhood education, and mental wellness showcase a commitment to enhancing the quality of life on multiple fronts. Our holistic approach to giving back both supports local needs and reflects our aspiration to foster a sustainable future for all.

Recent Community Involvement

At Magellan Financial, Inc., we believe that meaningful giving and hands-on participation are at the heart of strong community partnerships. Through ongoing support of local education, health-care access, and nonprofit initiatives, we devote significant time and resources each year to initiatives that uplift families and reinforce the shared prosperity of the regions we serve.

A Powerful Day of Connection and Growth at the Women’s Summit

Our team had the privilege of attending the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce  Women’s Summit, joining more than 850 women leaders from across the region. A standout moment was hearing from Stef Ziev, keynote speaker, author, and breakout session leader—whose insights on challenging the limiting stories we tell ourselves offered a grounded reminder about personal growth and accountability.

The team returned energized, connected, and appreciative of the Chamber’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for women throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Heart Health, Community Strength, and the Power of Women’s Stories

Our team was grateful to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red Luncheon, where personal local heart stories took center stage. Hearing these experiences firsthand was a powerful reminder of how critical awareness and advocacy are, especially for women, whose symptoms often present differently and can be overlooked.

The event underscored the importance of recognizing tell-tale signs, speaking up for our own health, and championing those in our community through continued research, education, and support. We’re proud to stand behind this meaningful mission and the impact it brings to the Lehigh Valley.

Junior League of Lehigh Valley Annual Dinner

Our Operations Manager, Cristy Church, and her husband, Greg, attended the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley Annual Dinner on behalf of Magellan Financial Inc. It was inspiring to hear firsthand how the organization continues to uplift and empower women throughout our community.

Events like this reinforce the importance of supporting groups that drive meaningful, lasting change in the Lehigh Valley, and we’re proud to stand behind the Junior League’s ongoing impact.

Celebrating Culture, Community, and the Impact of the Hispanic Center of Bethlehem

Magellan was honored to join community members and supporters at the Hispanic Center of Bethlehem’s Annual Dinner on May 29 at the Wind Creek Event Center. This year’s Fiesta Puerto Rico theme filled the evening with incredible energy, culture, and celebration.

The strong turnout highlighted just how essential the Hispanic Center is to the Lehigh Valley, and how deeply their services, advocacy, and cultural programming continue to empower individuals and families. We’re proud to support their mission and look forward to celebrating their impact for years to come.

American Heart Association - Lehigh Valley Heart Ball

Senior Wealth Planner Cassandra Queen and Operations Manager Cristy Church, along with Cristy’s husband Greg, attended the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Ball. This signature event brings community leaders together to support research, education, and advocacy focused on heart disease and stroke. Funds raised during the evening help advance prevention efforts, treatment awareness, and longterm wellness initiatives across the community.

Magellan Financial values opportunities like the Heart Ball that allow us to support meaningful causes, strengthen community connections, and contribute to the wellbeing of the people we serve.

Health Expo: Where Financial Wellness Meets Personal Well-Being

In February, our team participated in the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Health Expo at the Homewood Suites in Center Valley, PA. We connected with women about the importance of Financial Wellness and Financial Literacy.

Many individuals find that developing confidence in their financial lives can help reduce stress, support a sense of stability, and contribute to overall well-being. Our team appreciated the opportunity to highlight the relationship between financial health and personal wellness, and to share resources that may empower women in their financial journeys.

International Women's Day: Elevating Women and Their Financial Well-Being

Our team joined the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce to celebrate International Women’s Day. Throughout the day, our team engaged in meaningful conversations with women about the importance of financial wellness and the role it can play in fostering confidence and empowerment in their wealth planning.

We value the opportunity to participate in an event dedicated to supporting women’s voices, achievements, and financial journeys.

Financial Bingo at the Hispanic Center Senior Community Center

The Magellan Financial team spent a truly meaningful morning at the Hispanic Center’s Senior Community Center, hosting an interactive Financial Bingo session designed to make financial literacy both fun and accessible. The seniors welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, and the conversations that unfolded highlighted just how much language barriers can impact confidence and understanding around personal financial goals. Sharing guidance in a supportive, engaging environment allowed us to connect on a deeper level and help empower participants with knowledge that can make a real difference in their daily lives.

Magellan Financial believes strongly in outreach that brings people together, helps to build trust and supports financial wellbeing for our community.

From dynamic breakout sessions to powerful keynote speakers, this event continues to elevate voices and spark meaningful conversations.  We’re grateful to be part of a community that champions growth, equity, and connection.

Iron Pigs: A Home Run Tradition at Coca-Cola Park

Each year, we invite our clients and their families to join us for a night of fun at an Iron Pigs game, and 2025 was no exception! With perfect weather, a great game, and even better company, it was a chance to relax, reconnect, and celebrate the relationships that make our work so rewarding.

We’re grateful to share these moments with our community and look forward to many more innings together!

Recognizing Vet Fest 2025

At Magellan Financial, our commitment to community runs deep. Vet Fest 2025 is a proud reflection of that promise—honoring veterans, fostering connection, and supporting those who’ve served with dignity and gratitude.  We’re honored to stand alongside our neighbors in creating a space of celebration, remembrance, and meaningful impact.

Our First-Ever Shredding Hunger & Paper Event Is a Success!

This initiative offered free shredding services to the community while raising awareness about food insecurity in the Lehigh Valley.  Thanks to the incredible support from our neighbors, we collected enough food donations to help provide Thanksgiving meals for underserved families in our region.  We’re honored to be part of the Thanksgiving Campaign organized by the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, and grateful for the opportunity to give back in such a meaningful way.

Celebrating Community at the Hispanic Gala

We were honored to attend the Hispanic Gala, proudly sponsored by the Hispanic Chamber of the Lehigh Valley Chamber.  It was a powerful evening of connection, culture, and collaboration, bringing together remarkable leaders who continue to shape our community.

A special thank you to Edith Gutierrez-Hawbaker of TLJ Creative, whose partnership and friendship mean so much to Magellan Financial.

Oh, the places we will go—together.

Honoring Women Who Lead: The Athena Awards Ceremony

We were proud to attend the Athena Awards Ceremony—an inspiring celebration of women’s leadership in the Lehigh Valley. This year’s honorees included Susan Wild, former Congresswoman; Veronica Gonzalez of Valley Health Partners; and the incredible all-female leadership team from MKSD Architects.

Their stories moved the room and reminded us all of the power of mentorship, resilience, and community. These women are not only trailblazers—they’re lifting up the next generation of leaders with every step they take.

Wills for Heroes Champions Heroes Who Protect Us Every Day
