Magellan Financial Inc., in partnership with the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, is excited to invite you to our upcoming community shredding event. This is a great chance to safely dispose of your sensitive documents while making a meaningful difference for local families.
This two-day event not only helps you protect your personal information but also supports the Junior League’s annual Thanksgiving Basket Campaign, which redistributes all the ingredients for a warm holiday meal to families in need.
Two Ways to Participate
Day 1: Drop-Off Day
Date: Friday, September 26
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Roma Building, 1605 N. Cedar Crest Blvd, Suite 111, Allentown, PA 18104
On our first day, you can stop by and place your documents in Iron Mountain’s locked shredding boxes for secure disposal. It’s a quick, convenient way to clear out old files and ensure your private information is handled safely.
Day 2: Live Shredding Event
Date: Saturday, September 27
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Roma Building, same as above
Join us on Saturday for the full live shredding experience, where you can watch Iron Mountain’s shredding services in action. Bring your bags or boxes of papers, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing they’ll be destroyed on-site.
Helping Families This Thanksgiving
While shredding services are completely free, we’re encouraging participants to bring a donation for the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley’s Thanksgiving Basket Campaign.
Each basket is filled with the essential ingredients for a holiday meal. Suggested donation items include:
- Box of Turkey Stuffing mix
- Canned Corn
- Box of Instant mashed potatoes
- Canned cranberry sauce
- Can Gravy
- Instant Mac & Cheese (4 cups)
- Gift Card to Giant
Your contribution, no matter how small, can help ensure that every family in our community has something to be thankful for this season. Donations are voluntary and not required to participate in the shredding event.
Why This Shredding Event Matters
In today’s world, identity theft and data breaches are a real concern. Safely disposing of sensitive paperwork, such as old tax documents, bank statements, and medical records, is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself. By working with Iron Mountain, a leader in secure document destruction, we ensure that your information remains private.
At the same time, this event is about more than paper. It’s about people. By linking document security with community giving, we aim to inspire generosity and foster connections across the Lehigh Valley.
Let’s Keep the Season Generous and the Paper Trail Clean
Mark your calendar, gather your papers, and join us in helping protect personal information while bringing joy to local families this holiday season. We can’t wait to see you there!
